Lisa Marie Stephenson calls the North Georgia mountains home, where the rugged landscape fuels her suspenseful storytelling.
A proud Jack-of-all-trades, Lisa has worked as a hobby farmer, bookkeeper, executive assistant and paralegal. Her adventures include section-hiking the Appalachian Trail, running marathons, and hunting in the wild Cohutta Wilderness, yet nothing compares to the joy and light brought by her four wonderful children and her soulmate.
Writing has always been a passion of hers, woven into the rare quiet moments of a full life. In a surge of inspiration mixed with a healthy portion of impulsivity, she drafted her debut suspense novel, Resilient, in just over a month and self-published it on Kindle two months later. The story continues in Moving Target, the anticipated sequel in the Blood Reckoning Series, because, as she loves to remind her readers, “It doesn’t end with the final page of Resilient.”
Several more manuscripts are well underway, each infused with the grit, heart, and determination that define her own journey. Shadows to Sunshine. Heeding the advice of one of her literary heroes, Stephen King, Lisa is committed to writing “the damn book” one page at a time.
